Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in building and scaling secure, efficient infrastructure for a growing fintech platform. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless and secure software deployment

  • Manage and scale AWS-based cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, and cost-efficiency

  • Implement and uphold security best practices, including SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, IAM management, and cloud security protocols

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Monitor system health, manage observability tools, and proactively resolve incidents to ensure platform resilience

  • Utilize AI-powered DevOps tools to automate routine tasks, incident management, and predictive scaling

  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to enhance deployment processes and system reliability

  • Mentor junior engineers, contributing to knowledge sharing and skills development across the team

     

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles, preferably within fintech or other security-focused industries

  • Expert-level proficiency in AWS infrastructure and services

  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform

  • Proven success in managing CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD

  • Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)

  • In-depth understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type 2

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)

  • Solid scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or similar languages

  • Familiarity with AI/ML-driven tools used in DevOps automation and predictive infrastructure management
